THE STORY
How the colors came about
Blue
On January 7,2014 I had a motorcycle accident. Heading home on a freezing night, a fox runs across the road and clips my front wheel. I lost control of the bike and went into the frozen grass, where the bike skated across the grass. I hit the cross street and went airborne.I hit a pole and the bike flipped, in the flip my foot got cought in the bike. The bike went one direction, my foot went another direction and I landed near the pole. The only thing I remember is asking for help 3 times and passed out. A fire truck coming back from a call, who's fire house was literally rite around the corner, just happened to see the lights on, that were on my bike. They stopped and fanned out to find me. They saw that my foot was missing and one of the guys took off his belt and starpped it to my leg. They rushed me to the nearest hospital, asessed my injuries and life-flighted me to another hospital where they put me back together. A broken hand, pelvis broken in 2, a collapsed lung and a amputated foot, with the doctor saying I was dying when I came thru the door.
When I tell people the complete details of the whole story, they always say that i'm lucky to be alive, but then I say that I am "Blessed To Be Alive". I had said it so much, that I decided to have a bracelet made with it on it. Well, it took a life of it's own and took off.
Pink
The Pink color came about when a few ladies told me if I had it in pink, they would get one. it wasn't until about the third lady said that she would love it in Pink because she and the previous two ladies had fought cancer and won. I ordered them 5 min later.
It seems that my "Blessed To Be Alive" story has an addition to it. 2yrs after the accident, I battled with a Hernia with complications for a year, which led to the following year i started my battle with a rare Appendix Cancer in 2017, a little over a year of Chemo, Radiation and surgeries. That story is a long one it's self, but as of April of 2018, I am cancer free.
My Family and Friends, I can't hug yall enough for Your support.
I truly feel "BLESSED TO BE ALIVE"
Oh ! I almost forgot. The picture that you see was made by a friend of mine's, at the time, 5yr old daughter. she made it completely out of the blue, on her own. No one asked her or told her to do it. It will Always be a treasure to My heart.
Enjoy Your bracelets and/or t-shirts, as it will hold its meaning to You.
